The Quote'ster

A little phone call this morning made me feel like I woke up on the right side of the bed! 'Who ever said what goes around comes around' and 'Karma's a bitch'was right. I can officially give myself credit for being right on with leaving that hot mess when I did. Yes, it was not my decision in that point in time, but.. and I quote another cliche but true quote ' everything happens for a reason'. The past two weeks have been floating by and I feel a lot less productive than usual. The only productivity I've had was finalizing my school stuff, I'm 100 pages from the end of Scar Tissue, and I kinda ran out of things ha ha. I have been spending a lot more time with my family which always feels great. Two weeks in a row of family bbq's and birthdays.
This Sunday was Brandon's (cousin) 18th birthday! The weather was crisp and windy with the sun peeping threw the palm tree's; It was as grand as I described it. The boys watched football inside as the women chatted away on the patio enjoying this kick-ass weather and the convo. Two corona's later the women built that domino table which was all lonely and ready for game, and we played for a couple games until we were invaded by the Cuban Domino Mafia (the men which were ready for action after the football game was done). With my beginners luck I was on my lucky third win and was going to fight to play the next round by trading off my female partner for an experienced competitive male. By this point I was on 4 corona's and just talking smack the whole game. I was catching up with Gus, my Tia Mema kept making me awesome corona/lime with a lot of salt(or however you call that)and I was everywhere else but the game. Sneaky they were! that I was murdered by the dynamic double brother duo of Brandon and Enrique. Third times a charm and after that your screwed, meaning, my luck ended after that third win. That evening I enjoyed a few beers on Lincoln and later laughed my ass of at Purdy for a 'Booty Dancing competition' all in good company. Great Sunday to say the least and in more ways than mentioned ;)
